How long should I prepare for IELTS?
Most students achieving band 7.0+ have prepared for 8–12 weeks of structured work. Self-study without feedback typically plateaus around 6.0–6.5 — the writing and speaking modules are where individualised feedback makes the most difference.
Should I take IELTS Academic or General Training?
If you're applying for a degree program abroad, take Academic. If you're applying for migration / work visas to Australia, Canada, NZ, or UK skilled worker routes, take General Training. The format differs primarily in the Reading and Writing sections.
Is IELTS or PTE better for my destination?
Both are widely accepted across UK, Australia, NZ, and Canada. PTE is fully computer-based with faster results (typically 1–2 days vs. IELTS' 5–13 days) and is preferred by some students for its predictability. The right test depends on your timeline, your speaking confidence, and the specific universities you're applying to.
IELTS coaching — frequently asked questions
Each of the four sections (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) receives a band score from 0 to 9 in half-band increments. The overall band is the average of the four, rounded to the nearest half-band.
There's no limit. You can retake IELTS as many times as needed; each attempt is independent. Test centres offer multiple dates per month in major Indian cities.
Two years from the test date for most institutions. Some immigration authorities (e.g., Australian skilled migration) accept up to 3 years.
We help with prep, not test booking. IELTS bookings are done directly with IDP or British Council (the two authorised conducting bodies in India) via their websites.
Identical content and scoring. Computer-delivered IELTS offers faster results (3–5 days vs 13 days for paper) and on-screen tools like word count for Writing. Speaking is the same one-on-one interview in both formats.
